Developing an Open Source, Standards-based Virtual Patient Player

Tufts University has received a grant from the Hewlett Foundation for the development of an open source virtual patient player to enable broad sharing of its virtual patient content as part of the OpenCourseWare initiative. The player implements the emerging MedBiquitous Virtual Patient standard. The presentation will focus on the challenges specific to the development of an open source player.
